Raquel Minor

Peace love and understanding

I would like to nominate Raquel Minor for Compulsory coach of the year.  Raquel has taken a group of gymnasts from a heavily recreational gym and over time has trained them to place 6th in the 2022 Norcal level 5 state championships.

During the time she has been at Black Diamond Kids Center, she has taught her gymnasts with love and understanding.  During times of stressful state competitions, she still was calm, caring and understanding with her gymnasts.

She runs a very organized and hard-working training regiment, but there is always understanding of what is best for the gymnast as person, not just a competitor.

I have watched her during workout with gymnasts.  One gymnast totally broke down.  She calmly walked over to the gymnast with a smile, said a few uplifting words and the gymnast became calm and resumed her work out. It was amazing to watch.

It is possible to coach champion gymnasts with peace, love and understanding and this is why I feel Raquel deserve the award of Compulsory coach of the year.
